This is a 3 part series based loosely on cultural face paints. I was looking at Day of the dead face paint and decided I really wanted to draw it some how. The base figure itself was inspired by an image of Adaora Akubilo. Worked on all three simultaneously since they are all based on the same basic template. That in itself proved harder than expected. The backgrounds for all 3 were probably the largest challenge since it’s still not a strong suit. But I loved the way they turned out.
